It’s that time of the year again when creative minds cannot be satisfied with off-the-shelf halloween solutions and custom creations are in order. What are our passions this year? None other than Pokemon and Rocky Balboa. Here is what we came up with.
As you know by now we are bird fanatics and the Crane is one of those amazing creatures that we love to draw and represent in our art. We also love tools and to make things to surround ourselves with and thus was worn our Metal Crane, Siberian Crane to be exact. This is how we made this sculpture.
We love documenting the small drawing gestures created throughout the weeks and it gave us an idea… what if we created mini frames to display our work? What if they were simple to make, easy to display and made of everyday materials? One of the things we like to do is to experiment with new materials. Painting on tiles can be a bit crude because we used the bottle as our application tool, but it allowed us to synthesize our ideas and to execute singular concepts for each piece. Everyone created tiles as gifts for our loved ones.Read More
One of the things we have always enjoyed is coming up ways of surrounding ourselves with art. The youngest members of our studio love to make wearable art for themselves and for their family. T-shirts are always on the list and while the process can be time-consuming and messy they get better and better in terms of thinking through what they want to say before they start.
